Eliminate disruptions.
As you prepare for your spa day, let your family or roommate know your plans so you can enjoy some uninterrupted me time. Also, don’t forget to shut your phone off or at least put it on silent.
Gather your spa supplies.
Have it your way with a comfy robe and slippers, plenty of water, your favorite healthy snacks, and soothing music. Feeling indulgent? A glass or two of Prosecco can lend a festive feel.
Set the mood.
An Essential Oil Diffuser provides numerous health benefits and can enhance the effects of your spa day. Depending on the day, you can set the mood relaxing or invigorating. Prepare your Essential Oil Diffuser by adding fresh water and the essential oil of your choice to create the atmosphere you desire. Lavender and rose are relaxing scents while peppermint or citrus are invigorating.
Make detox water.
Simply add slices of your favorite fruits to your water pitcher for a refreshing “spa drink.” Lemon water combinations have been proven to boost your immune system, aid with digestion and improve your skin condition.
Steam your pores.
Fill a bowl with hot steamy water and drape a towel over your head to let those pores open up. Steam for 5 – 10 minutes and feel yourself relax.
Exfoliate your face.
Using your Facial Brush Skin Cleansing System, exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and prep your face for the treatments to come. Our Facial Brush Skin Cleansing System is available in six color options and gently exfoliates skin while removing impurities.
Use a body scrub.
Hop in the shower and apply a body scrub that you enjoy to cleanse your body. You can use a store bought one or you can make your own from one of these DIY body scrub recipes. Rinse off and get ready for the next treatment.
Apply a hair mask.
Treat dull dry strands to a hydrating hair mask. Restore luster and shine while you relax in the tub. We have compiled some easy DIY hair mask treatments using natural ingredients that you probably already have on hand.
Take warm bath.
Grab your Deluxe Bamboo Bath Caddy and fill your tub with very warm water. We love adding bubbles or having a relaxing sea salt soak to soothe achy muscles. This is also a great time to apply a face mask because the steam from the bath will allow the mask to really absorb into your skin.
Rinse off the hair and face masks.
Take a quick shower to rinse away the masks. Our Deluxe Fogless Shower Mirror with Squeegee is guaranteed to remain fog free so you can be sure all traces of your mask have been removed.
By now, you should be feeling pretty relaxed! It’s time to move on to the manicure/pedicure. To perform a successful DIY mani/pedi at home, follow these important four steps:
Soothe your feet.
For super soft feet, we suggest buffing rough heels and calluses with our Callus Remover Foot Fileand then following it with a moisturizing foot soak. You can follow up with a foot scrub to remove any dry skin around the toes. We like these super easy DIY Foot Scrubs. If you experienced cracked heels, read our top tips on how to fix this nagging issue at-home.
Invigorate your toenails.
Push your cuticles back with our Cuticle Pusher and trim any hangnails with our Stainless Steel Cuticle Nipper. Use our Heavy Duty Toenail Clipper to trim nails, file them smooth, and finish with a foot massage before applying nail polish.
Cleanse your hands.
For soft as silk hands, use a scrub to soften and remove any rough spots. You can use leftover body scrub or mix equal parts honey and oatmeal for a softening hand scrub. Rinse, apply a little coconut oil to your cuticles and push them back.
Rejuvenate your nails.
Nip away any hangnails and trim nails with our Stainless Steel Nail Nipper. File into desired shape, give yourself a hand massage and finish up with nail polish or just buff nails for a natural look.
Extend that spa good feeling by treating yourself to a healthy and delicious dinner. Don’t wait too long to plan your next at home spa day, you deserve it! If you don’t have time for full spa day, simply pick and choose your favorite activities and pamper yourself with some much deserved “me time”.
